Tom Moffatt Radio Hall Of Fame Nomination!
Tom Moffatt get's nominated for the National Radio Hall Of Fame! Michigan native, Moffatt first gained notoriety in Hawaii at KGU-AM 760 and later as part of the popular “poi boys” crew of DJs at KPOI-AM 1040. A Hawaiian radio institution, he is now heard Saturdays on 107.9/Honolulu.

While the group has been making an effort in the studio, various health problems -- including complications with Perry's knee replacement and singer Steven Tyler's bout with bronchitis and pneumonia -- kept knocking the band off schedule.

Peter Gabriel Wins Polar Music Prize
Singer Peter Gabriel and Venezuelan composer Jose Antonio Abreu have won this year's Polar Music Prize. They each will receive one million kroner (approx $127,000 US) from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and receive their awards by King Carl XVI Gustaf at a gala ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall on August 31, 2009. According to the prize committee, Gabriel had "not only had a significant influence on the development of popular music - he has redefined the very concept".
