Rolling Stones Rake In Over 38-Million With Five Concerts

The numbers are in on The Rolling Stones' recent "50 and Counting" shows. Billboard.com says the group raked in 38-million-687-thousand-and-ten-dollars with their five sold out concerts in November and December, which averages out to more than seven-point-seven-million per show. With each performance running approximately two-and-a-half-hours, that boils down to roughly three-million-dollars an hour. And the 38-million-plus figure just accounts for ticket sales, not any revenue from the band's pay-per-view special. Late last year the Stones marked their 50th anniversary on the stage, playing their first shows in five years. They gave two shows in London in late November before heading to this side of the Atlantic for a concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The group wrapped up their run with two nights at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey -- the last of which was carried live on TV.
